Ask a Dentist in Vancovuer "How do I know if cosmetic dentistry will help me?"

Dentists answer " Are you happy with your smile? Could your teeth be whiter or straighter? Do you have chipped or broken teeth? Do any of your teeth appear too small or too short? Do you see black margins around your existing crowns? Do you refrain from smiling in photos? Does the thought of having to meet new people and smile make you anxious? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then cosmetic dentistry may be for you.Dr. Monica Monty - M2 Dental"

Ask a Dentist in Vancovuer "I like to know what is a palatal expander?. Thank you"

Dentists answer  "An expander is a type of orthodontic appliance that connects 2 to 4 of the top back teeth and will be placed over the roof of the patient's mouth. An expander is used when the patient's top jaw is narrow compared to its bottom jaw. The expander will widen the top jaw to have it match properly with the bottom jaw. Guildford Orthodontic Centre"

Ask a Dentist in Vancovuer "I have a moderate form of arthritis in the hip which I see a Registered Massage Therapist for regularly. I do a mix of walk/jog on soft surfaces and keep it under an hour. Is this ok? I feel no pain doing it. Thanks, A"

Dentists answer "There are many types of arthritis and the word "moderate arthritis" is not specific. But, we all have wear and tear arthritic changes occuring in our joints as time passes. Some experience more than others, some changes cause limitations in our daily activities. Above all, it is very important to stay as active as you can. If you walk/run on soft surfaces and do not expirience pain, "good on you", keep doing it!
Regards E Hedden, Physiotherapist."

Experts talk "I'm a 24 year old female and I am always feeling tired and I have no energy. I'm waking up every night feeling anxious and I find it difficult to go back to sleep, sometimes it feels like I'm having hot flashes. I have to get up at 5:30am for work everyday and I find I'm only getting about 4hours of good sleep a night and therefore I'm exhausted at work. I've been sick a lot, cold after cold and I am missing work due to this. I've started going to the gym thinking that this would help me sleep at night, but it's not. I had a personal trainer assess me and she said that my heart rate is really fast, 130's at rest and when I do any cardiovascular activity, it jumps up quickly to 180's and I'm not even working out that hard. My blood pressure is 128/90 and I have heart palpations at times. I often feel nauseous and get headaches and I am constantly thinking about sleeping. I'm worried about my health, I feel I'm too young to be feeling like this all of the time. Should I go see a doctor? I don't have a family doctor and this is why I haven't gone to see anyone yet."

"It is always best to consult with a doctor, especially if you haven't have a check up for some time. If you reside in Vancouver, here is the address of a medical clinic that accepts new patients: Seymour Medical Clinic Telephone: (604)738-2151 Address: 1530 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C.
